As we head into the new millennium,
it’s important to keep in mind that as stewards of the environment we must
continue our work to preserve
and protect the planet.
This year NOAA once again recognizes those individuals and organizations who
have worked with the agency on behalf of the environment. We congratulate
1999's Environmental Heroes.
We also congratulate the thousands of people worldwide who volunteer their
efforts on behalf of the Earth.
